Welcome to VivaLaData. Home of Chocolateware and The Learning Links. VivaLaData is a computer consulting sole-proprietorship run by myself, Diana Simonson (formerly known as Cassady). Besides computer resources, you can check out my music CD here. I specialize in database development, Internet development, and process automation. Although most of the macro development for process automation uses applescript, many of my clients are Windows based. I have developed Filemaker database and Lasso web solutions for Windows and Mac users. I have also developed PHP and MySQL solutions for MacOSX as well as unix. PHP/MySQL solution include file uploads, eCommerce with credit card transactions, MySQL database search, add, update and delete, plus email with attachments.

Resources (chocolateware) for programmers include:

• Palm Pilot Tips & Tricks for Mac users.
• A free Quark automation program called Fit Pictures. Fit Pictures will proportionally resize your images to fit your picture boxes without distortion. It will then resize your picture box to make up for any differences in proportion so your picture box fits snugly around your image. It keeps the picture box centered in it's original location on the page. Fit Pictures will process a whole folder full of Quark graphics at one time.
• A free, open source applescript that imports email into Filemaker from the MacOSX Mail application - Import Mail.
