"The Computer Arts group here is ranting and raving about
how great
the scripts are that you wrote. It saves us so much time and
effort.
" -Dave Westfall - Tiffany & Co (December 2006)
"Your script...saved us much more time and money than what we paid to
have it made." -Richard M. Pavonarius - Japan
These are just a few of my clients to give you an idea of my experience. For references, please contact me for a resume.
Web Solutions
- Lasso & Filemaker
- I have developed many Lasso and Filemaker web solutions for client which include international advertising agencies - DAS and DDB, The American Canoe Association (through Earthcare), For Sale By Owner, Saab in Sweden through SP Production AB, The Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation, Memorial Sloan Ketterin Cancer Center, New York Cares, Interbrand, SCP Communications, Churchill Communications, and a bulletin board with Lasso Lite that was developed for BlueWorld and included on the Claris Home Page CD in 1997. These sites are a mix of Mac and NT.
- PHP & MySQL
- I did the html, javascript, PHP, and eCommerce for Shamrock Ride. During this project, I had the priviledge and pleasure of working with photographers/designers Tommy Agriodimas and Omid Mohadjeri.
- A project that I did for DDB that will allow users to choose a location and upload their resume. The proper contact person for that location is looked up in a MySQL database, the submission is logged and the resume is sent to the contact as an email attachment.
- Tango
- I've done a lot of work with Tango, both Filemaker and Butler SQL. I am not currently recommending Tango for new development since it's future is uncertain.
- My Tango clients have included eMedia, Earthcare Technologies, The Committee to Protect Journalists through el.net, Management 21, Tronics, and Volnet
Earthcare's - Conference Time website is probably the best public example of my Tango work. It includes secure online payments using MacAuthorize.
- Other Custom Web Solutions
- My other custom web development solutions include a custom cgi to provide an internal index of reports sorted by date for the Hyatt Regency St. Louis, a commercial Frontier cgi distributed by Hindsight, Ltd. in Highlands, Colorado, and a custom solution using the Canto Cumulus.cgi for McCann Erickson in San Francisco. I recently put a website together for Bri Snacks from their brocure in less than a day.
Filemaker Database Solutions
- A well-designed database solution assists businesses in organizing their data so they can easily see the big picture
- Tiffany & Company has been a client of mine since 1997 to which I have provided custom databases, Quark, Cumulus and Photoshop automation through applescript. Other custom database clients have included Time Warner, BMW-Germany, Kaz, Marakon, The French Publisher's Agency, Fallon McElligott, and KPMG.
- The database solutions that I have provided include not only creation of file struction but data cleaning (eliminating duplicates and standardizing data entry) in systems containing over 100,000 records, incorporation with eCommerce solutions such as provided by the online Yahoo store and MacAuthorize. I have also collaborated on projects with a number of other top-notch database professionals in my area including Tony White, Database Diva Debbra Lupien, and Andrea Elsassor of MetaMorphosystems.
Computer-Aided Production & Automation Solutions
-
Many of my solutions have been focused on process automation using applescript. These types of solutions eliminate the monotonous, repetitive steps from the work lives of my clients and allow them to accomplish tasks much quicker, saving time and money. These clients include automation of Keepsake book production and Calendars for Recollections, Quark printing production for Ogilvy & Mather, a Quark automation for Workbook.com, a Quark automation automatically assembling the puzzles books produced by Dell Magazines, and a Quark automation to generate Real Estate catalogs for For Sale By Owner.
Training
-
I have had some training opportunities. I gave a three hour session on
applescript for New York Mac User Group in July 1997. A year earlier
I gave three 90 minute hands-on sessions at Apple headquarters in Cupertino on how to put Filemaker Pro
on the web (arranged by WebEdge). In addition to those large sessions I have provided private training sessions on Lasso and Filemaker for SCP Communications, Blue Iceberg, and Metamorphosystems.
As you can see by this list, I am used to working remotely. Many of my clients have
never even met me in person, so no matter where in the world you are, how big or small, you can still
contact me for your solutions.
