I've been in business since 1995 and have worked for over 200 clients from a utilities manager in a small town near the Arctic Circle who would send me incredible pictures of the Northern Lights to Richard Pavonarius of APICNET in Japan who gave me one of my best quotes: "Your script...saved us much more time and money than what we paid to have it made."That's my goal! More recently, Dave Westfall of Tiffany & Co. said: "The Computer Arts group here is ranting and raving about how great the scripts are that you wrote. It saves us so much time and effort. "I worked in person with Dave and his colleagues at Tiffany & Co. headquarters in New York for several years developing Filemaker and Cumulus database solutions and process automation with Quark and Photoshop. Just down the street, I've worked with the wonderful team at DDB since the year 2000 developing Filemaker, MySQL, and PHP solutions. Most of the work I do is for internal use, but on the DDB website, I created the careers option that allows you to upload your resume. One floor down from DDB, I've worked for DAS, another Omnicom affiliate, developing a database solution that allows them to manage events and travel for over 10,000 employees. Further downtown on the West side I worked for Digital Color Concepts, developing a Filemaker system that would track their work flow process with tabs that lit up to let the user instantly know what stage a project was in. I also wrote applescripts for Marvel Comics. I've worked for sole proprietor artists Isaac Abrams putting him on the web with iView and Michael Torlen of Greenwich, CT, helping him manage his contacts and mailing lists with Filemaker. I've worked for photographers Elliott Landy of Woodstock and G. Steve Jordan of the Jordan Gallery. I built a database system for the "bird woman of Vieques" to track bird sitings, habitats, photos, and weather. I put research online for a doctor at Sloan-Kettering and reporter abductions online for The Committee to Protect Journalist. (Jesse still owes me a chocolate stout.) I've worked for Outpatient Surgery Magazine since the Summer of 2005. I've subcontracted for Earthcare Technologies since 1995, creating many websites with Filemaker in Tango and Lasso as well as MySQL and PHP along with automation applescripts, and a Filemaker based memorial touch screen solution employed at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. I've worked for manufacturer Kaz, Incorporated, creating databases that tracked orders, downloaded web orders, tracked shipments (integrating with the UPS Worldship), product incidents, and new product development workflow. I've worked for MetaFix of Canada whose silver recovery system recovers silver from photography wastewater worldwide. I've automated production of print publications for Recollections in Hawthorne, New York saving them money and eliminating the tedium from their employee's lives. I redesigned and built a Filemaker solution for GCP Capital on Long Island that enables them to keep track of their contacts, deals, and related information. My colleague Kim Manitt and I work as a team for many Long Island and Manhattan clients with Kim supplying on site expertise. Cheryl Schneider is another great on site consultant that I work with to implement solutions all over the Hudson Valley. Hardware and Software Services (HSS) of Connecticut uses a Filemaker solution I made for them back in the late 90's that tracks everything from products, parts, estimates, and services to vendors and expenses. It even prints their checks. I put Filemaker to work as a solution for the Woodstock Film Festival for everything from making badges to sending emails and managing inventory, ticket sales, and printing tickets in their box office. They also have a shopping cart and form solution that I authored in PHP and MySQL that enables them to put any form up on the web and download results as a tab delimited file. With their shopping cart solution, they can accept payment for anything just by making a simple sales form with fields to specify price and description. I worked for Joe Orlandino in Chicago back in the 90's on his site to sell motorcycles on the web with Filemaker and Lasso. A decade later, I worked with world-renowned fashion photographer Donald McPherson to put his family's Shamrockride site and shopping cart online. I worked for SP Production AB in Sweden on the Saab website for a couple years in the late 90's and almost went to work for them full-time in Sweden in November of 99. (I may have been brave enough to accept had they asked me at the beginning of the Summer rather than Winter.) I wrote a system for Namse Bangdzo Bookstore at the Buddhist temple on top of Overlook mountain in Woodstock to manage sales, products, shipments, labels, and create and enter barcodes for products. I've worked for the University of Michigan Hillel, supporting their fundraising efforts using a Filemaker based system called Fraise written by Peter Nagourney and eventually replacing it with my own that you can find for sale on my solutions page. | |||||
